Dwight Writes

So much is happening during the month of April this year.  We will celebrate Easter - all that God has done and continues to do.  We will continue to look for ever new ways to weave that into our lives.  It is a task that we never finish.  It is a work that God continues down through the ages and it is not limited by our awareness.  We keep looking for ways to express~live out our lives of faith.  I offer these nesting words for your thought and reflection.  It is my hope that they will lead you deeper and deeper into a loving relationship with God and each other.

Pastor Dwight

I am the God “who turns death into life and calls into being what does not yet exist.”
Romans 4:17

 Easter Sunday
It looked like it was over.

It looked like it was over
as death swallowed up the landscape.

It looked like it was over.
As death swallowed up the landscape,
hope disappeared into the place of dark.

It looked like it was over.
As death swallowed up the landscape,
hope disappeared.  Into the place of dark
there began a twinkle with the tiniest light.

It looked like it was over.
As death swallowed up the landscape,
hope disappeared.  Into the place of dark
there began a twinkle.  With the tiniest light
pushing back the dark, new life sprang forth

It looked like it was over
as death swallowed up the landscape.
Hope disappeared into the place of dark.
There began a twinkle with the tiniest light
pushing back the dark.  New life sprang forth
cascading color and wonder clear across the cosmos.

It looked like it was over.
As death swallowed up the landscape
hope disappeared into the place of dark.
There began a twinkle with the tiniest light.
Pushing back the dark new life sprang forth,
cascading color and wonder.  Clear across the cosmo
the Holy One said: “It is a New Day!  Come into Being with me!”
