     In 2013-14 we raised $6,001.00
    In 2015 we have given $1,861.00, we still need $638.00 to meet our challenge.

DWIGHT WRITES

Greetings;

With every baptism and every time some one joins the church,
we, the congregation make the following response:

“As members together with you in the body of Christ and in this congregation of
The United Methodist Church, we renew our covenant faithfully to participate
in the ministries of the church by our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service,
and our witness, that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.”

It will necessarily take a life time to live into that response and to fully flesh it out
in our living.  I’m extending the invitation to each of you, to reflect on ways that
you have and can participate in the ministries of the church.

My prayers include:                                                                .
My presence means:                                                              .
My gifts are:                                                                            .
My service is:                                                                          .
My witness happens:                                                              .

Only you can fill in your blanks.  If you don’t fill them in with the actions and intentions of your heart and life, they will remain blank. I Thank You for all of the ways that you participate in the ministries of the church.  Together we are seeking to make a faithful response to God.  As the Griswold United Methodist Church we have declared, in our Mission statement,

“To praise God and enrich the lives of families and individuals by encouraging prayers, Bible study, and practical application of the teachings of Jesus.”  Might we continue to be open to God’s leading and guiding presence as we seek live out a faith-filled response to God’s love and grace.
