THANKS
This year our fall supper did really well, and for that we want to thank all those who were involved with making it a success. It takes planners, callers, corn huskers (those involved with freezing corn), bakers and cookers, decorators, sign hangers, silverware wrappers, a group to set up, greeters, ticket sellers to ticket takers, waitresses, servers, dishwashers, and plate scrappers, and a grand group to clean up afterwards.  Who did we miss… oh, yeah, it takes you to come eat with us.  We couldn’t do it with out all of you ~Thanks!

Malaria Update:  In 2013 the Ad Council accepted the challenge to become a “Barnabas  Church” and raise $8,500.00 for the “No More Malaria” campaign  in the next three years.  There is only 1 months left to reach our goal.
In 2013-14 we raised $6,001.00   This year we have given $2,224.00, we still need $275.00 to meet our challenge

Building a Manger for Jesus  We are building a manger for the baby Jesus.  Every time you come to worship, please pick up a blade of straw at the back of the church and put it in the manger at the front.  By the time Christmas Eve arrives we will have a nice place to lay the baby Jesus.
Let's have some fun as we make preparations to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child - one blade of straw at a time.

The Giving Tree is up and decorated upstairs in the corner of the Upper Room. Please consider taking one or more of the paper ornaments and purchasing the item on your ornament, then bring it back and put under the tree.  After Christmas these items will go with Leann Peterson to be given to homeless veterans in the Omaha area.
Thank you for your generosity! The Middle & Sr. High Class

The Christmas Program will be held on Sunday, December 13th, during worship time –10:30 a.m.  There will be a time of fellowship following with a soup lunch in fellowship hall, with a birthday cake for Jesus.  After the meal a special guest is planning on stopping by to see all the little ones and the older ones if they wish. So mark your calendar and plan on attending this special Sunday, as we celebrate Jesus.

Are you missing some dishes?  We have several cake pans and pie plates.  There is even a couple bowls that need to find their home.  These extra dishes were left here after the church dinner.  They will be located in the hall way between the Lord’s Cupboard and the old quilting room.  So stop in sometime and pick up your missing dish.

Cookie Boxes and Plates  The ladies will be filling boxes for the service men & women, and the college kids. They will also be making up fruit & cookie plates for the shut ins.
If you would like to contribute, please have your goodies to the church on Sunday, Dec. 6, they will be busy on Monday

Ingathering 2015, was held on November 7th in Greenfield.  The ladies have been busy putting the kits together.  This is most definitely a group projects.  Several ladies sew up the book bags and a list of supplies for all the kits is put in the newsletter and handed out at Morning Circle.  Once the items are collected for the kits, several ladies get together and put them together, which is a time consuming job.  This year we made up : 50 school kits, 9 Sewing kits, 11 Health kits and 15 Layette kits.  We are also required to sent cash for toothpaste and shipping cost per package. Total credit received for this years kits was $ 1,415.00. this is an increase over last year.
