Special Worship Service —-a Musical
On Sunday,
July 8th we will have a different type of worship
service. It will be a musical- ”Life of the Party”. It will be performed by members of the St.
John Church, Faith Lutheran Church and the Methodist Church. If you would be interested in participating, practice will be every Wednesday evening in June at 6:30. The Musical is about Mary & Martha and we still need several volunteers. We need helpers, singers for the choir, and actors. If you would like to be a part of this project call Celeste Waymire at 778-2539 /778-4485 or 789-1005.
Following this special worship service we will be having a potato bar—planning is underway with more information to follow.
So mark your calendar and come join us at the Griswold United Methodist Church for this special Sunday.
BIBLE STUDY -
“THE STORY”
The
Story” is a Bible in story form, divided into 31 chapters. After reading
“The Story” each person will have a better understanding of the flow of
Scripture.
We are proposing to have a 31 week Bible study { Oh don’t let 31 weeks scare you off - read on } The group will meet for 31 sessions, but this will be spread out over 10 or 11 months, as the group decides. The groups will begin on Thursday, September 6, 2012. We are proposing 2 different groups - each meeting on Thursdays: one to meet at 12 noon and one to meet at 7pm.
Needed supplies for this study:
1- copy of “The Story” [I have 9 copies on hand - cost $5.50]

DWIGHT
WRITES
Greetings
- Mornings have long been a favorite time to reflect and write. Here we are in the season where the summer
mornings start early, giving lots of time to connect with the Holy. I am grateful. In this season of Pentecost we seek to be
attentive to the ways in which the Spirit moves in our lives and throughout the
life of the church. I would like to
share two Nestings with you in this space that I hope you find meaningful and
helpful in your walk with God. Might you
be reminded of the ways that the Holy continues to reach out and touch your
life - with texture, sound, light and breath.
Blessings,
Pastor Dwight
