Greetings!           As we move into November we become aware of it being a season of Thanksgiving.  All those things that we have planted and tended in our lives are now bearing fruit.  We give thanks unto God.  Of course, this is not the only time we give thanks, but it is a time that we pay particular attention to all of the ways that we can share with those around us.  It is my hope for each one of us to be able to share in the joy of LORD, which is God’s intention for us.  I offer the following Nesting, along with a word of Scripture and another quote.  I trust that they will speak to you.  I invite you take your time in reading them, out loud - if possible.  Might you become aware of all the joy that is yours and all of ways that you put love into practice in your life.
Peace & Joy, Pastor Dwight
Matthew 25:21 “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’”
“If you want to go fast, go alone.  If you want to go far, go together.”  ~ African Proverb

On Saturday, October 20th, the Nuts & Bolts Sunday school class hosted a time of fellowship and fun for the young adults of our congregation.  Wonderful food was provided by the class with Bill Kennedy’s wonderful pulled pork and potato chips.   A great time was held by all and we are looking forward to another night in the future.

Christmas Poinsettia
The price for poinsettias is the same as last year —$7.25 – Red, White, or Marble.
If you are interested in purchasing a plant for Christmas, please sign up before
November 12th.  The sign up sheet is located upstairs on the table by the steps.

PIE AUCTION
The Morning Circle is having a Pie Auction on November 18th following worship.  The money raised from this yummy event is going to the building fund to help with the cost of new round white tables and white chairs, for fellowship hall.

CHURCH PROJECTS
We are needing your financial help to take advantage of the Mid American rebate program. (this rebate is good till the end of the year) We are upgrading all the fluorescent light fixtures. (the fluorescent bulbs we have now are no longer being made) The cost for materials will be  $2,519.59 with a rebate of $1,334.20, so we will end up paying only $1,185.39. If you would like to help with the cost of this project write –‘lights’ on your gift.
We are also planning a work day on Saturday November 10 to complete this project and if need be on the 17th.  We will changing 65 light fixtures and  need workers who would be willing to work on a step ladder or be there to hand light bulbs to those on the ladders. We will need step ladders & wire strippers.
An extra incentive to come help is several ladies will furnish a lunch. And we all know how good that will be.
**************
The Trustees would like to finish the fellowship hall. Last spring they laid the new carpet, tiles and painted the hall.  Now they would like to purchase -12) 60” round white tables at $100.00 each,  and 96) white chairs at $20.00 each.  The windows also need new mini blinds.
These projects will take time and money.  The Morning  Circle is have a pie auction on Sunday, November 18th to raise money for these improvements.  If you would like to help out, write “fellowship hall” on your donation  We have a lot going on right now and your support is appreciated.
