Nestings with Music Concert —Thursday, May 23
Dwight Grosvenor is teaming up
with Brian Hanson, composer/pianist from Franklin, TN for what promises to be
an unique evening of poems and music.
Dwight is the writer of Nestings”.
He will be accompanied by Brian, who will perform his own unique
interactive compositions on the spot,
using verses from Psalms as the inspiration. Many people have found great inspiration and comfort from Dwight’s “Nestings’ and Brian’s musical improvisations on the Psalms. You won’t want to miss this very unique and special evening of worship.
The “Nestings with Music” concert will be on Thursday evening, May 23, 2013 at the Griswold United Methodist church. Doors open at 6:30 pm with the concert beginning at 7:00 pm. No admission charge, but a love offering will be received.

First, I would like to thank all those who have and are participating in the traveling prayer shawl ministry of our church. Second, if you would like to have a traveling prayer shawl and card for yourself -or- for another, please let me know or stop by the office and we will get one for you.
There are some folks who wear their prayer shawl often. Others have it by their bibles, to be used when reading. Some like to have their prayer shawl close, to be able to hold onto it. And still others just appreciate having one, and being able to see it from time to time. IF your prayer shawl has helped you in any way in your walk with God, or it has been a reminder of God’s ongoing love and presence, then our traveling prayer shawl ministry has been a resounding success.
It remains my hope and desire for each one of you to find something that is meaningful and helpful in your walk of faith; AND that you do this on purpose, with some regularity. When you do this, no matter how small the activity, it will change you and the world. It will become a Holy Abundance!
I want to close with a small nesting that speaks to this dynamic. Might it speak to your heart.
Blessings & Peace, Dwight
So
little time, so little energy.
So
little time, so little energy.
We
wonder what difference it makes.
So
little time, so little energy.
We
wonder: What difference it makeswhen we use the little we have.
So little time. So little energy.
We wonder what difference it makes.
When we use the little we have
it becomes an abundance for the Holy.
